Like the old saying goes…
“You only get one chance to make a first impression.” We believe a young player’s first stick is the most important one they will ever come in contact with. Developing a relationship with your stick is important to honoring the roots of the game. Also, a poorly strung stick can develop bad habits that are hard to break later on in development. We made a decision six years ago, as a brand, to focus heavily upon adding a complete stick to our product line that was not only affordable but also featured quality mesh that was hand strung by our string team.We want everyone’s initial experience with the game to be nothing but positive.
A poorly strung stick can completely ruin a player’s first experience and discourage them from continuing on.
That is tragic. Too many times, while running camps and clinics across the world, we encounter young players struggling to catch and throw like the rest of their friends. And the truth is, most times it has little to do with their ability and is more closely related to a flat, hard-as-a-rock factory strung pocket. We decided that this needed to stop and we saw an opportunity to help the growth of the game in a very tangible way.
This attitude and ethos was the birth of the Scout, the ultimate first stick that finally focused on proper pocket building and balanced head shape. Since then we have shipped out tens of thousands of Scout complete sticks to first time players, developmental programs, start up teams, inner city leagues, international clubs, first time leagues and foundations.

In the fall of last year we signed a partnership with the National Lacrosse League to support their UnBoxed™ initiative. We sent them thousands of Scouts, Campers, goals, cones and balls to help them add lacrosse to school physical education curriculums. We are honored to help the NLL with this initiative and this is the exact reason that we focus on making sure these sticks are just right. We want these kids to not get discouraged and fall in love with the game from the get go.
This year we decided to upgrade the Scout and make it even better! Introducing the Scout ’25.
Gone are the days of the cheap beginner sticks with tennis racket pockets. This thing is built thoughtfully from scoop to end cap to be reliable, consistent and beautiful. We upgraded the graphics, increased the quality of the head resin, changed the face shape and are now offering the Scout in 8 different color ways to match team colors.
If you’re looking for the best first stick in the industry, this is it. Pro level appointments at an unbeatable price point.
