This was the head that first turned me on to Powell Lacrosse. I first got it for their String It, Dye It Promotion and it’s been one of my favorite heads ever since. It still falls under the Pioneer II family but it could be it’s own head because it’s design is different from that of the Attack and Defense version. It still has the two strut design like the Attack but it’s reinforced, just not as much as the Pio II Defense.

What I really have loved about this head is that I can do anything with it. It’s a head I can play Attack with and still have total ball control when dodging. I can play defense as a Middie and it can take the abuse. I can give it to my LSM’s and close D and they can throw checks without it warping. It’s a Swiss army knife.

The face shape is tight enough that the feel and hold is excellent. I’ve been shooting with this head in 90 degree weather with 70% humidity for the past two months and it’s still in the original shape. It’s also nice that with the sidewall and top string construction, I can throw any pocket I want in there. You can really make this stick your own.

I received this stick as a Father’s Day gift to play catch with and shoot on my son who plays goalie. It has been a great stick for a beginner like myself. My son also loves the stick when he uses it to improve his stick skills.

Man so much to say about this head! Between my son and I, we own roughly 6-8 different sticks and heads. I’m the type of person to try all available products and find that one that fits my play style. Out of all the heads we own this one is hands down the best, my son even prefers it over his name brand setup. The stringing job is professional as they come, and the frontier mesh is ready to go as soon as you open the box. I look forward to getting the pioneer 2 attack for my son this season! Keep up the amazing work!
