Before you gear up to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday, there will be plenty of great lacrosse games to watch on Friday and Saturday.

College lacrosse is officially back with the first games of the 2020 season kicking off this Saturday, while the Colorado Mammoth and San Diego Seals will play the first ever pro lacrosse game in Las Vegas.

We cannot wait to watch lacrosse come to Sin City and the start of what should be a wild 2020 college season this weekend. NLL games can be watched at and the college games will be on a variety of streaming websites.

Friday 1/31

Halifax Thunderbirds (6-0) vs Toronto Rock (3-2)
Watch on B/R Live at 7:30 pm ET

In this North Division matchup, the Rock will try to hand the T-Birds their first loss, but that will be a tall task with how well Halifax has been playing and with their ability to finish games. Tom Schreiber is still injured so the Rock offense will need to find balanced scoring to have a chance against T-Birds’ tough defense and one of the best goalies in the league this season in Warren Hill.

Georgia Swarm (3-3) vs Philadelphia Wings (5-2)
Watch on B/R Live at 7 pm ET

The Swarm are back on track after beating New England in overtime last weekend, while the Wings have been dominant in their last few games. With so many talented offensive players on both teams this will be a must watch to see the likes of Lyle and Miles Thompson as well as Kevin Crowley work their magic.

Miles stung a corner to win it for the Swarm in OT last weekend.

Buffalo Bandits (4-1) vs Rochester Knighthawks (1-5)
Watch on B/R Live at 7:30 pm ET

The Battle of the I-90 will be revived as the Knighthawks make the short trip to Banditland in a game that could feature as many penalties as goals. Despite the K-Hawks being a new franchise, the hatred will still be there between the players. The K-Hawks could pull off a win if they keep their composure in front of a hostile Buffalo crowd.

Saturday 1/1

New England Black Wolves (4-1) vs Vancouver Warriors (2-4)
Watch on B/R Live at 7 pm ET

The Black Wolves are reeling after a tough OT loss, but have a chance to rebound against Vancouver. The Warriors won’t make it easy as they are coming off of a huge win against the Mammoth two weeks ago.

Game of the Week: Colorado Mammoth (4-4) vs San Diego Seals (2-5)
Watch FREE on Twitter, Facebook, and B/R Live at 10 pm ET

Vegas Baby! In one of the cooler lacrosse events of the year, the Mammoth and Seals will faceoff at Orleans Arena just off of the Las Vegas strip. Super Bowl Weekend is one of the biggest sports weekends of the year in Las Vegas so hopefully a big crowd will be on hand to check out NLL lacrosse. With Las Vegas being rumored as one of the new cities fro NLL expansion, this game will be an important test for drawing fans out in the desert.

The Seals are fully committed to the Vegas theme with their homage to “The Hangover.”

#10 North Carolina vs Colgate
Watch on ACC Network at 12 pm ET

Colgate upset Syracuse early last season and will look to do the same to UNC on this first weekend, but the Tar Heels will be much improved from last year and will be pumped up to get their season started on the right foot.

#4 Maryland vs #20 High Point
Watch on Big Ten Network+ 12 pm ET

Maryland has a sour taste in their mouth from their controversial exit in the NCAA Quarterfinals last season and is ready for their redemption tour lead by Jared Bernhardt. High Point knocked off Duke and Virginia in February last season and has a real chance of surprising the Terps if Asher Nolting and the Panthers come out firing.

Merrimack vs Holy Cross
NEC Front Row 1 pm ET

Welcome to the show Merrimack. The 2019 D2 National Champions will get their first crack at a D1 opponent against a very solid Holy Cross squad.

The Mack are ready for a new challenge.

Boston vs Providence
Watch on at 1 pm ET

This New England battle has been a 1 goal game the past 3 years and the 2020 matchup will likely be no different. Both teams have something to prove as they get ready for big seasons.

#7 Duke vs Air Force
ACC Network 2 pm ET

Air Force came into Durham in 2017 and shocked the Blue Devils as they upset them 11-10. The Falcons will try to do it again, but will face a very good Duke team with National Championship ambitions.

Let us know what games you’re excited to watch this weekend and which college teams are poised for a big 2020 season.
