For the first time in a month the MLL and PLL will both be back to their regular seasons. The PLL travels to San Jose this weekend as the playoffs are in sight and teams need to start stringing together some wins if they have any hope of reaching the postseason. The MLL has a three way tie for first place and the PLL has a two way tie for first meaning it will take every last game to decide who will head into the playoffs as the top dog. There will be 5 games on Saturday night alone, but make sure to watch the PLL on NBC Sports Network on Sunday. Here are the games we cannot wait to watch on this busy weekend of pro lacrosse.
Redwoods vs Chaos
Watch on NBC Sports Gold at 4 pm ET
In their second meeting of the season, the Redwoods will be looking for revenge for their Week 3 loss to the Chaos. The Redwoods are coming off of a tough loss to the Atlas that definitely was a cause for concern. Will the Redwoods have the recently acquired Jerry Ragonese suit up to take faceoffs in relief of Greg Gurenlian? The Chaos played their usual fast paced, hard hitting, and bomb squad style game in Week 7 to beat the Whipsnakes who they are tied with for first place. Both the Redwoods and the Chaos like to get chippy and have a flair for the dramatic so this should a be a great game to start the weekend.
You can definitely expect a firey halftime speech from Chaos Head Coach.

Chrome vs Whipsnakes
Watch on NBC Sports Gold at 7 pm ET
On paper this is a game between the first place team and the last place team, but in this league that doesn’t really matter. The Chrome may only have 1 win, but they are more than capable of taking down any team and they would love to spoil the Whipsnakes weekend. However, a team like the Whipsnakes is going to respond after their loss two weeks ago by playing angry lacrosse and not letting anyone get in their way on the road to a win.
Atlanta Blaze vs Boston Cannons
Watch on Lax Sports Network at 5 pm ET
The Boston Cannons are feeling good after a great win against the Denver Outlaws last weekend that saw them stop every run the Outlaws tried to get on. Cannons’ goalie Nick Marrocco has been playing lights out recently, but will have to contend with some of the best shooters in the MLL in the form of Atlanta’s Randy Staats, Shayne Jackson, Mark Matthews, Tom Palasek, and Bryan Cole. Atlanta let one slip against Dallas, but will be eager to move back up the standings if they can silence the Cannons.
Denver Outlaws vs Chesapeake Bayhawks
Watch on Majorleaguelacrosse.com/watch at 8 pm ET
Denver and Chesapeake make up two of the three teams tied for first place at the top of the MLL standings heading into Week 10 and only one team will get to stay there after this weekend. The Outlaws lost a frustrating game to the Cannons at Mile High Stadium in which Dillon Ward was pulled after the 1st Quarter. They will need Ward to rebound to have any hope of stopping the juggernaut that is the Bayhawks offense. The attack line of Lyle Thompson, Colin Heacock, and Steele Stanwick is proving to be pretty hard to stop. With so many great players on each team this could be the best game of the entire weekend.
The Bayhawks’ Colin Heacock was dialed in last weekend.

New York Lizards vs Dallas Rattlers
Watch on Lax Sports Network at 8 pm ET
The Dallas Rattlers are on a two game winning streak, while the New York Lizards are on a two game winning streak. Both these teams might be at the bottom of the standings, but this game will be huge for both teams to either keep a streak going or to end a streak. The Lizards collapsed in their back to back games against the Bayhawks and need a rebound win. The Rattlers are finally clicking and finding ways to win. A win for either team in this game could be the key for a late season run at the playoffs.
Archers vs Atlas
Watch on NBC Sports Network at 7:30 pm ET
Both the Archers and Atlas scored big wins in Week 7 to give them a chance to get back into playoff contention. This weekend they will play each other for the 4th playoff spot. In their last meeting in Week 5, the Atlas staged a last second comeback to beat the Archers in dramatic fashion. The Archers will be ready to get payback and in their win against Chrome in Week 7 they were firing on all cylinders. This game will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports network and should be a great one for the sports fans everywhere to watch.
Will the Archers be able to stop Atlas’ Trevor Baptiste at the faceoff X?
