What We’re Watching: MLL Week 7 and Must Watch Videos

Since there are only two professional lacrosse games to watch this weekend, this week’s What We’re Watching article will be a little different. This week we will also include some lacrosse videos from the past week that grabbed our attention that are a must watch for any lacrosse fan. Here the MLL games we will be watching this week and the lacrosse videos we will have on repeat.

Saturday 7/13

Boston Cannons vs Atlanta Blaze
Watch on ESPN+ or MajorLeagueLacrosse.com/Watch at 8 pm ET

Both the Cannons and the Blaze suffered tough midweek losses this past Thursday and will need to have short memories as they come into this crucial game. Randy Staats has been the offensive catalyst for the Blaze and Rookie Brendan Sunday is starting to come into his own. Boston has to find a way to rebound and can do so with their transition game. Expect some highlight reel goals to come out of this game.

Sunday 7/14

Chesapeake Bayhawks vs Dallas Rattlers
Watch on MajorLeagueLacrosse.com/Watch at 4 pm ET

Dallas is still looking for its first win on the season, but has to try go through a dangerous Chesapeake squad that is finding its rhythm as we near the middle of the MLL season. The Rattlers will need to find a way to limit Lyle Thompson and force other players to make the big plays. Dallas’ young stars have an opportunity to step up and surprise their doubters if they can put a full 60 minutes together.

This Week’s Must Watch Lacrosse Videos

PLL Mic’d Up Week 6

One of the coolest parts of the PLL’s first season has been the Mic’d up segments during the live broadcasts of the games, but it has been even better to watch the longer versions that they are posting on YouTube. If you want to know what it’s like to be in between the benches during a pro lacrosse game this is probably the closest you can get.

Denver Outlaw Max Adler’s Story

Everyone loves an underdog story and the Denver Outlaws have had one of the best with the emergence of faceoff specialist Max Adler helping them win an MLL Championship last season. Adler had a very unique path from almost not playing college lacrosse to becoming one of the best faceoff players in the world.

Diggstape Reviews PLL Week 6

Mikey Diggs aka “Diggstape” has been making the lacrosse world laugh with his off the cuff commentary on lacrosse highlights. His latest video from week 6 of the PLL made us pause and go back to make sure we heard him right when he said “how much y’all wanna bet Manny and Holman got bunkbeds.”

World Series of Youth Lacrosse

Every year the best U13 lacrosse teams battle to see who will win World Series of Youth Lacrosse Championship. These young players are already ripping low to high shots, making behind the back passes, throwing perfect outlet passes, and winning clean faceoffs like its nothing. Be careful when you watch these highlights because you might end up realizing a 12 year old has a better shot than you.
