It’s a great time to be a lacrosse fan. There will be dozens of college lacrosse games going on this weekend and 5 huge NLL games as we are about a third of the way through NLL season.
College lacrosse is off to a hot start as almost all of the Top 20 teams will be in action this weekend. There will be plenty of chances for upsets and I’m sure at least one Sportscenter Top 10 goal will come out of one of these games.
Saskatchewan and Colorado will play in the NLL Game of the Week and it will be an absolute war on the floor up in Saskatoon.
Here are the college and NLL games we are excited to watch this weekend.
#5 Syracuse vs Colgate
Watch on ACC Network at 4 pm
This is a revenge game for the Orange as Colgate came into the Dome and beat them last season, but can the Raiders pull off the upset 2 years in a row? A strong returning defense, a healthy Tucker Dordevic, and a new #22 are ready to bring Syracuse lacrosse back to the Final Four.
Vancouver Warriors (3-4) vs Buffalo Bandits (5-1)
Watch on B/R Live at 10 pm ET
Both the Warriors and Bandits are coming off of huge wins last weekend that saw Vancouver stun the New England Black Wolves and Buffalo beat the Rochester Knighthawks in overtime. The Bandits have won 2 straight games in OT and are simply finding ways to win when it looks like they’re doomed.
Corey Small has scored two OT winners in a row. I watched this in person at the KeyBank Center last Friday and it was the loudest I’ve ever heard a crowd cheer at a lacrosse game.

#20 High Point vs #7 Duke
Watch on ESPN+ at 12 pm ET
Duke is reeling after losing to Air Force. The High Point Panthers could pounce on the Blue Devils and beat them for the second year in a row.
#13 Johns Hopkins vs #17 Towson
Watch on ESPN3 at 1 pm ET
The Battle of Baltimore is always an early season thriller and this year should be no different. The Jays and Tigers are both loaded with talent and ready to make championship runs.
Hopkins is looking to bounce back in 2020
Make. It. Count. 😤😤

Hobart vs Canisius
Watch on hwsathletics.com at 1 pm ET
This is a rivalry game I loved to play in as a player as we had some great overtime battles with Hobart, but were never able to beat them in my time at Canisius. The Statesmen are looking to build off of an impressive 2019 campaign, but the Griffs are hungry to get started on the right foot as well.
Predictions: Go Griffs
#2 Virginia vs #14 Loyola
Watch on ACC Network at 2 pm ET
The defending national champions will start their journey back to Memorial Day against a Loyola squad who lost the 2019 Tewaaraton winner Pat Spencer and Chase Scanlan. Can the Greyhounds reload?
Game of the Week: Saskatchewan Rush (3-2) vs Colorado Mammoth (4-5)
Watch for FREE on Twitter, Facebook, and B/R Live at 8:30 pm ET
The Rush and Mammoth have both hit a rough patch in their seasons and will be looking to get back on track with a Western Division win. The last time these two teams played the Mammoth silenced the usually rowdy Rush crowd as they beat them 12-6.
Calgary Roughnecks (2-4) vs New York Riptide (1-7)
Watch on B/R Live at 9:30 pm
The Roughnecks and Riptide are desperate for a win as both have struggled recently. The Roughnecks are still without Dane Dobbie for his the last game of his 6 game suspension. The Riptide continue to try and find consistent play on both sides of the floor.
Rochester Knighthawks (1-6) vs Vancouver Warriors (3-4)
Watch on B/R Live at 2 pm ET
The Knighthawks will catch the Warriors on 1 day rest and will try to take advantage to get their second win of the season. The expansion K-Hawks have lost 3 games by 1 goal this season as they are building more chemistry every game.
Toronto Rock (4-2) vs Buffalo Bandits (5-1)
Watch on B/R Live at 3 pm ET
These longtime rivals will meet for the second time this season and after a physical and rowdy first meeting this one should be just as exciting. The Rock were the first team to hand the Halifax Thunderbirds a loss this season and will be buzzing as they welcome the Bandits to Rock City.
Toronto proved the doubters wrong and brought an end to the T-Birds winning streak.
